About me
|
Excitement has always sparked in me when I see a combustion of colour on a canvas or a delicately crafted fashion design. My creativity has adapted and improved ever since a young age, helping me develop new skills in different areas. From attending several small art classes throughout my life and during my studies, I have been able to learn new and complex techniques which has led me on a circuitous yet inspiring path towards fashion design.
Fashion Design is one of the main fields that interests me because of the detail and precision it takes whilst also allowing me to be free and expressive. My imagination and attention to detail allows me to excel in this subject, as I experiment with vibrant colours and unique shapes to express my bubbly personality. My enthusiasm towards the subject continues to grow as I explore modern techniques.
I always strive for success and improvement. Fashion and art were two of my A-levels, which I thoroughly enjoyed and keenly showed a passion for. The change from A-levels to University was a big jump, however I feel I am learning more to an industry standard and am gaining useful information about the fashion design industry today.
My final A-level subject was geography which is an important factor in our day to day lives. Not only did it improve my general knowledge, problem solving skills and memory, I also gained insights into cultures and lifestyles in vastly different areas of the world. This inspired my patterns and colour schemes, whilst giving me ideas of fashion marketing and branding worldwide, which I still use today.
I have experience in the fashion industry, from working at Topshop, which allowed me to learn and understand the clothing trends and styles, whilst also encouraging me to become more independent, hardworking and dynamic. Visual merchandising was an exciting factor of this job which allowed me to demonstrate and improve my outfit creations which appeal to the public eye; raising my awareness on consumer research.
