Hi welcome to my website!
My name is Shannon Rack and I am currently in my first year at Nottingham Trent University, studying Ba Fashion Design. Fashion design is a subject which has always ignited my creativity in new and exciting ways. It requires detail and precision whilst also allowing me to be free and expressive. My imagination and attention to detail allows me to excel in this subject. Whilst studying at Nottingham Trent university, my skills have evolved to a more advanced level in the areas of pattern cutting, manufacturing, design and CAD. This has allowed me to feel confident to demonstrate these skills to an industry level. Designing for a purpose or an end user always excites me as there are so many paths and directions I am able to experiment with. However I also enjoy making my own clothes, where I find scrap fabrics I have and repurpose them to create something new. |
My projects
The white project
This project aimed to expand my creative vision, by excluding all colour and only using the colour white within my final design. For more details, look on 'my work'.

The Colour Project
For my second project of my first year at Nottingham Trent University, we looked into colour and also creating a garment for a designated end user. We had partnered up with the charity Emmanuel House to create an outer wear garment for people living rough on the streets. For more details look on 'my work'.
